Hi everyone! If you've been following me on Instagram, you've seen some of my swatches of Lemming Lacquer's Archer inspired collection: Damn It, I Had Something for This.  My best friend introduced me to Archer a few years ago and I've loved it ever since!  I was so excited when Cassie of Lemming Lacquer asked me to swatch and review these and when they came in the mail, it was obvious she nailed it with both the colors and name.  And to make things even better, there's also a part 2 coming in July!  Part I consists of 8 polishes and they're available from LemmingLacquer.com now!

Contrary Polish High Beam for A Box, Indied June 2016

Hi everyone!  Today I have Contrary Polish's contribution to the June 2016 A Box, Indied.  This month's theme is Campfire Tales and unfortunately, this will be the last A Box, Indied.  High Beam was inspired by an urban legend of the same name often told around the campfire.

This legend tells the creepy story of a woman driving down the road late at night.  She finds herself being followed by a mysterious car that continuously flashes their high beams at her, follows closely behind her, and eventually starts ramming into her car.  Until she realizes the mysterious driver is only trying to warn her about the man hiding in her back seat.  Stories like that always freak me out!

Contrary Polish Hight Beam is a deep jelly purple with holo micro glitter and violet sparks.  My camera had a hard time capturing the correct color and makes this look more blue than it is.  The formula is pretty easy to work with, though I suggest waiting a bit between coats.

This is 3 coats.

Hi everyone! Today I have Sweet Heart Polish's Tangled Trio to show you.  This is my first time trying the brand.  It's been on my list, but my list is a mile long.  By chance we were paired together to create a purple for the upcoming Color Box (Manna's genius idea; request to join the facebook group if you haven't already!) and here we are.

The Tangled Trio is inspired by, you've guessed it, Tangled (the Disney movie)!  The trio consists of a crelly, holo, and glitter topper that comes with mickey glitter.  These will be available from SweetHeartPolish.com Monday, March 7th at 8am PST!

Hi everyone!  Today I have a gorgeous collection from indie brand Great Lakes Lacquer.  A few months ago I showed you The Friends Collection, Part 1 and now it's time for Part 2!  This collection, like the first, is inspired by real friends in creator Mariah's life.  And to top it off, I also have the October limited editions, so let's get this party started!

Delush Polish Dames of Thrones Swatches and Review

All you Game of Thrones fans gather round!  Delush Polish is releasing a fall collection inspired by the women of Games of Thrones called Dames of Thrones!  The collection consists of 7 glittery polishes and will be release September 25th 12pm EST.

*Just a general note on application before the review.  Because these are all glitters and quite a few have larger glitters, be sure to wait a bit between coats to avoid dragging the glitter!  Also, I did not do any glitter placement techniques when swatching these.  I gave them a good shake and applied straight out of the bottle.  All swatches are topped with top coat.

Pahlish Objects of Curiosity - September 2015 Duo

Today you get a double dose of Pahlish!  This is the duo for September 2015.  It includes a glitter topper and a gorgeous base and will be available from Pahlish.com for the month of September!

Palish Little Bells.  This has a deep blackened violet blue jelly base with very subtle purple flecks and shimmer.

This is 2 coats.

Pahlish Forty-Four Sunsets.  This is the topper of the duo and it's one of my favorites of all the duos I have!  It has a clear base and is fill with copper glitter as well as ultrachrome flakes and a heavy dose of violet shimmer.

This is one coat over Little Bells.

Great Lakes Lacquer September Limited Editions

Hi everyone!  Can you believe August is almost over?  I'm so ready for fall to be here; it's my favorite time of the year.  You know it's coming when you start seeing pumpkin spice everywhere.

Today I have two gorgeous limited editions from Great Lakes Lacquer that will be available all through the month of September.

Great Lakes Lacquer Mother's Mauve.  My Mom’s birthday is September.  She’s a lady with a heart of gold; one of those ladies that is a Mom to everyone.  All of my close friends have called her Mom and do to this day.  This color is a dedication to her.  In my teenage years, I remember her bedroom being an explosion in mauve.  All tones of mauve.  She tells me that it needs to lean more pink but this is the color I remember.  See?  Still Mom.

I'm not usually a mauve kind of girl, but this one is a stunner.  This is a very purple mauve with a gorgeous gold shimmer (which I've been obsessed with lately) and a hint of holo.  Application was easy peasy.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Harvest Moon 2015: Come, Reap.  In traditional folklore, the Harvest Moon is the one that comes closest to the autumnal equinox.  This year’s Harvest Moon lands on September 28^th.  In years of old, the light of the Harvest Moon illuminated fields so that farmers could continue harvesting that year’s bounty.  It signified the reaping of hard work and a close to the growing season.  A time of celebrating and a time of reflecting on what has been sewn, it is the end of one stage in nature and the beginning of another.  For those of you who recognize the phrase in the name from a book, there will be more to come by next year’s Harvest Moon.

This is a lovely orange leaning red jelly with shimmer!  I really love this one and it works from both fall and summer.  Application on this was nice, but I'd recommend waiting between coats.

Pahlish Jungle Book and Tropical Trios Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! Tonight I'm showing you not one but TWO gorgeous trios from Pahlish tonight: the Jungle Book Trio and the Tropical Trio.  These really speak for themselves so let's take a look!


Jungle Book Trio

Pahlish The Dawn Patrol is a stunning bright teal holo with lots of gold shimmer.  I am OBSESSED.  I was trying to swatch and had to stop and wear this baby for a full manicure.  This one dries to a matte finish so make sure to put some top coat on .

This is 2 coats.

Pahlish The Word of Bagheera.  This one is a gorgeous blackened indigo holo with bits of purple flecks that flash at different angles.  My camera wasn't able to pick them up, but they're there.  Either way, this is another stunning polish.

This is 2 coats.

Pahlish Man's Red Flower.  This is a bright pink leaning coral holo.  Like The Dawn Patrol, this also dries to a matte finish, so don't forget the top coat if you like it shiny.

This is 2 coats.

Tropical Trio

Pahlish Watermelon Punch.  This is a bright, break your camera, jelly neon pink with a violet, blue, and these pearly white flakes.  The white flakes are like someone chipped off a piece of a pearl.  It's such a gorgeous look!

This is 2 coats.

Japanese Neon Melon.  This has the same finish as Watermelon Punch, but it a deep bright blue.  Those pearl flakes look amazing sitting in this blue jelly!

This is 2 coats.

Pahlish Melon Baller.  This one has an orange leaning neon coral jelly base with more of those gorgeous flakes.  This is another eye searingly bright color and absolutely gorgeous!

This is 2 coats.

And there you have it!  Two absolutely stunning trios.  You can't go wrong with any of these and it's also awesome that you can purchase them individually.  You don't have to buy the whole set.  My personal favorites from both trios are The Dawn Patrol, The Word of Bagheena, and Japanese Neon Melon.

Look Nail Color Look Proud Collection Swatches and Review

Hi everyone! Today I have a new brand to show you: Look Nail Color.  This collection, Look Proud, is an ode to the Fourth of July and what better colors to use than red white and blue?

Rockets Red Glare is the red of the collection.  This is definitely a classic red.  It doesn't lean too blue or to orange, so I think it would look great with most skin tones.  Application on this was really nice and smooth and it didn't stain.  This is 2 coats.

Broad Stripes Bright Stars is a bright white cream.  I was ready for this to be difficult as most whites are, but I was pleasantly surprised.  The formula wasn't too thick and it went on pretty well.  It did streak the first coat, but it smoothed out.

I used 3 coats, but I think if I were more careful, it could have been 2.

Last but not least is Oh Say Can You See.  It's a navy blue jelly.  Application on this was nice.  Because it's a jelly there were a few bald spots.  I'd suggest waiting a bit between coats.

This is 3 coats.
