Ever After Polish and Literary Lacquers Peter Rabbit Quartet

Press Sample

Happy Saturday!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far!  Today  I have a quartet from two amazing indie brands: Ever After Polish and Literary Lacquers, and the theme is Peter Rabbit.  This quartet brought back memories of The Tale of Peter Rabbit and all the other stories written by Beatrix Potter.  My grandma used to read them to me and even bought me my own set that I still have!

These 4 polishes are all filled with shimmer and glass fleck and scream all things spring.  They will be available Sunday, March 20th at 3pm EST from EverAfterPolish.com and will retail for $40.

Indigo Bananas Spring 2015

Press Sample

Hi everyone! Today I have a few polishes from Indigo Banana's Spring 2015 collection to show you.  I ordered one not too long ago and Andrea was nice enough to add in 2 extras for me to try!  All of these pretty much have the same application.  They start off sheer but are opaque in about 3 coats.  They dry smooth but look slightly rough, so don't forget your top coat!

First is Little Fluffy Clouds.  It's a pastel blue/periwinkle color with ultra chrome glass flecks that shift from purpley pink to gold and holo micro glitters .  It actually matches the walls in my bedroom (sans shimmer and holo, but how awesome would that be?).

This is 3 coats.

Saffron Revolution is a peachy pink with ultra chrome glass flecks that shift from blue to purple and micro holo glitter.

This is 3 coats.

Last is my favorite, The Land of the Green Ginger.  It's a jade green with ultra chrome glass fleck that's a green/gold color and holo micro glitters.

This is 3 coats.

All of these are so pretty and I love the glass fleck!  These are currently available at the Indigo Bananas shop and they've also released some neons that I've heard nothing but great things about.  That will definitely be my next Indigo Bananas buy.

Zoya Yara

Hey everyone!  Today I couldn't figure out what polish to wear, so I reached into my untried pile and pulled out Zoya Yara.  Its one of those pretty/ugly olive greens that I love and has tons of golden glass flecks.

No complaints on application

This is 2 coats.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer My Indecisive Valentine Collection

*press samples*

Hey everyone!  Today I have a few selections from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's My Indecisive Valentine collection for Valentine's Day.

First up is Fire in Your Eyes.  Its a red jelly with jam packed with lots of glass flake that shifts blue and hot pink.  In fact, the glass fleck makes this polish look more pink than red.  The formula on this was on the thick side, but it was manageable and applied fairly well.

This is 2 coats.

Next is Newly Impassioned Soul.  This one is a pink jelly with pale green micro flakies.  This one looks a bit more neon in the bottle than on the nail.  Also, because its a jelly, its pretty sheer and does show visible nail line.  This one was also a little on the thick side.

This is 3 coats.

Also for those not fond of visible nail line, here it is layered over China Glaze Shocking Pink. This is 2 coats Shocking Pink with 1 coat Newly Impassioned Soul.

These as well as the rest of the My Indecisive Valentine collection will be available for purchase February 2, 2014 via the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer shop.  For swatches of the rest of the collection, please visit the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Facebook page.

*These polishes were sent by PR for Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer for an honest review.  All thoughts and photos are my own.  Please see my disclosure for more info.

China Glaze Running in Circles

Hey ya'll!  Today I have China Glaze Running in Circles from their Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away collection.  I love green polish, and this one is absolutely stunning!  It's a bright glass flecked green and flashes some gold.  The finish reminds me of Zoya's Ivanka.  When I put this on I was blown away.  It's way better on the nail than it looks in the bottle or in pictures.  I haven't seen any pictures quite do it justice.

As for application, I have no complaints.  It went on nice and smooth and doesn't need a ton of coats for opacity.

This is 2 coats.

Zoya Neeka

Zoya Neeka is absolutely gorgeous and the following pictures do it  no justice.  Neeka is another one of those gray/purple colors, but with glass flecks.  I love it.

Ever since I found a topcoat/base combo that works with Zoya, I've been loving them (not like that stopped me from buying the pretty colors).  Application was normal, so no complaints.

This is 2 coats.

Throw Back Thursday: China Glaze Blk-Bila-Bong

Today is Throw Back Thursday on Addicted to Polish.  On Thursdays I'll be featuring older polishes from my collection.  I decided to start things off with China Glaze Blk-Bila-Bong from their 2007 Surf collection.  It has a black base that's filled with blue/green glass flecks that China Glaze was so famous for.

Application was okay.  It was streaky at first, but the next coat evened things out.

What do ya'll think?

This is 3 coats.
