Zoya Ultra PixieDust for Fall 2014

Press Sample

Hi everyone!  Today I have the Fall 2014 Ultra PixieDusts from Zoya.  These Ultra PixieDusts are not only textured, but have tons of glitter, both large hex glitter and micro.

On to the swatches!

First up is Oswin.  Oswin is a red.  It has a red jelly base and red glitter.  This is the only one that truly dried down completely matte and I really loved this one.  It's my favorite of all three.  Application was great.  No complaints there.  This is 2 coats.

Arianna is a more blue toned red than Oswin, leaning almost berry.  It has a jelly base with matching colored glitter.  Arianna didn't dry down completely matte like Oswin.  I was a bit disappointed about this, but it's still a lovely color.  It applied nicely.  This is 2 coats.

Noir is the darkest color in this collection.  The jelly base is a dark purple/berry color.  The glitter seems to have two slightly different colors going on.  One more berry, while the other is more of a reddish color.  Like Arianna, this didn't dry completely down to a total matte finish.  Noir applied well, so no complaints.  This is 2 coats.

Zoya Magical PixieDust for Summer 2014

Hey lovlies!

Today I have for you Zoya's Summer Magical PixieDust.  Like the spring Magical PixieDust, these are textured with an added oomph: holo glitter!  Holo glitter is always perfect in the sun.

First is Bar.  This is the nude of the bunch.  From the promo pictures, it looked like it was going to be more gold, but this is nice as well.  I've also seen it look more golden on other skin tones.

This is 3 coats.

Arlo is the most bold of the three.  It's a reddish purple, along the same color lines as Binx.

This is 3 coats.

This was a nice collection, but I think I still prefer the Magical Pixies with topcoat since this particular texture is a bit rough to me.  Application on these was consistent.  They are a bit on the thick side and need to dry a bit between coats or the glitter will clump up a bit.  If I had to choose just one, I'd have to say Ginni is my favorite.  So delicate with a dash of holo attitude.  I loved it!

Zoya Magical Pixies are available for purchase from their website www.zoya.com for $10 per polish.

Zoya Magical Pixie Dust Swatches and Review

*press sample*

Hey loves!  I hope your weekend went well!

Today I have the Zoya Magical Pixie Dust collection for Spring 2014.  The collection consists of 3 textured polishes.  Not only are they textured, but Zoya decided to add some bling with medium size hex holo glitter!

First up is Cosmo, the silver of the bunch.  This is 2 coats.

This is with a coat of Gelous and Seche Vite.

Next is Vega, a pale blue.  This is 2 coats.

With a coat of Gelous and Seche Vite.

And last but not least is Lux, a pale pink.  This is 2 coats.

With Gelous and Seche Vite.

All of these were absolutely gorgeous.  They were a bit chunky because of the hex glitters but applied decently.  I found that the hex glitters would sometimes pile up on each other making a clump on the nail.  Other than that, they were perfect and were completely opaque in just 2 coats.  My favorite of them all was actually Lux.  On me it almost looks like a nude glitter.  Vega, on the other hand did not flatter my skin tone.  Surprisingly I actually prefer these with top coat.  Anyone else feel this way?

The Zoya Magical Pixie collection retails for $10 each polish and is available for purchase on the Zoya Website.
