Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by Shoes

Press Sample

It's Tuesday, so that means it's time for Twinsie Tuesday.  Today is all about shoes.  Now I have to admit that I prefer classic shoes.  Most of mine are black and not super inspiring, so I decided to search for something with a little more flair online and found some Christian Louboutin Mandolina booties called  that are black with gold etched in pattern and this is what I came up with.

For this look I simply painted my nails black with Zoya Willa and stamped over it with China Glaze 2039 using one of my Red Angel plates.  I'm still practicing my stamping, but I'm getting better!  And the shoe that "inspired" this look (they retail for $1,495 USD!):

**Zoya Willa was sent to me by PR for consideration.

Don't forget to check out the other Twinsies!

BB Couture Bassins Bleu

Today I have a polish that I bought about four years ago called Bassins Bleu.  It was a part of the Hands of Hope collection created after the Haiti earthquake and part of the proceeds went to the Salvation Army's Haiti relief effort.

Bassins Bleu is a turquoise cream.  This is 2 coats.

Jindie Nails Eclectric

This is just a drive by post because the Downton Abbey premiere for season 4 is on!  :insert crazy fan girl things here:

This is 1 coat of Eclectric over a coat of Illamasqua Boosh (black creme).  Eclectric has tons of neon and white glitters in different shapes, sizes, and colors (including, but not limited to: stars, butterflies, circles, and moons) in a clear base that seems to have a hint of bright pink shimmer.

BB Couture Dragon's Breath

Today I decided to pull out BB Couture's Dragon's Breath.  I don't wear these types of colors very often but Dragon's Breath delivers!  It's a beautiful red toned purple that kind of reminds me of cranberry sauce.    It's a jelly with tons of tiny glitters that flash red, silver, and sometimes blue (mostly red on my nails).

It starts of sheer, but builds up quickly.  The formula was a little thick but nothing unmanageable.  My only complaint is that every time I've worn this, I get tip pull which drives me nuts!

(Side note: I was think of making Thursdays "Throw back Thursday" where I would show an older polish from my collection.  What do ya'll think?)

This is 3 coats.

BB Couture Saturday Night Fever

I think I've said this before, but BB Couture knows how to make great polish with glitter suspended in a jelly base.

Saturday Night Fever has a dark green (nearly black) jelly base with green and gold glitter suspended in it.  It dries a little gritty, so I used a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite.  These pictures do it no justice.  I don't know why I couldn't get a good picture of it.

This is 2 coats.

BB Couture Blind Love

This has been sitting in my untrieds pile for quite some time, so I finally decided to show it a little love.

Blind Love is a silvery gold foil that leans a little to the green side.  I've read on MUA that it's a close dupe to Chanel Kaleidoscope (which I don't own).

While the color is pretty, it doesn't really "wow" me.  This is most likely because I had hyped it up for myself due to all the Chanel dupe talk.

This is 3 coats.

BB Couture Frosty Meadow

I love BB Couture, they really do have some unique polishes.  Frosty Meadow is no different.  It's a gorgeous dusty green jelly with green glitter.  The glitter isn't extremely gritty so you only need one coat of topcoat to get it nice and smooth.

This is 3 coats.

BB Couture Prince Charming Blue

BB Couture is one of my most favorite brands and I wish I had more.  They do so many things right.  They've got unique colors, they've got the glitter in jelly polish down, and they know how to do crazy amazing blues, purples and greens.  What more could I want?

This is one of the first BB Coutures that I lemmed and bought a few years ago and I still love it.  I think it's kind of cool how it matches the bright blue top of the bottle.

This is 2 coats.

BB Couture Poison Ivy

This is one of my favorite polishes!  I'm a sucker for primary green creams.  Actually, I'm a sucker for greens period.  BB Couture definitely did this one right.  It was opaque in one coat and smooth in two.  I definitely need a back up of this sometime soon.

(Excuse the lent.  I didn't realize it was there until looking back at the pictures)
