14 Days of Valentines - Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance

Hi everyone!  It's February 1st and just 14 days until Valentine's Day. I teamed up with some bloggers to post 14 days of Valentine's Day inspired manis.

Before there were indies, there were brands like Deborah Lippmann always coming out with innovative glitters and combos we hadn't seen before.  Bad Romance was one of these.  While not as unique now, it's still gorgeous!

Inspired by Lady Gaga's song of the same name, Bad Romance is has a black jelly base with different sizes of metallic magenta glitters.  It's a little anti-Valentine's Day, but I think it still works for the theme!

This is one coat over black.

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by a Song

Hi everyone! Today's Twinsie Tuesday post  is all about being inspired by a song.  I was going to attempt some nail art but wasn't feeling very inspired so I cheated a little and just used a polish inspired by a song.

For this I used Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air (inspired by P!nk's song of the same name) layered over Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom.  I'm pretty sure I posted this look before, but that several years ago.  I love the combo, so I think it's worth posting about again.

This one coat Glitter in the Air over 2 coats Bikini Bottom.

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to take some time out to wish all of you a happy new year.  2013 was a crazy year and I wasn't able to post much, but here's to 2014.  May it bring new opportunities, great times, and even more polish!

As for my manicure, I couldn't resist wearing a glitter bomb.  I wore Deborah Lippmann's Forget You.  Forget You is the cousin of Happy Birthday and has all the same glitters in a black base.  You can layer this over black or build it up with a few coats; your choice.  And of course thick top coat is a must.

This is 3 coats.  (I've been thinking about making my pictures a bit smaller, but if clicked you can still see the large versions.  What do ya'll think?)

Now normally sheer polishes don't do it for me, but when I saw these two layered by grayeyez on MUA, I needed both of these asap.

This is 3 coats of Bikini Bottom.

Aside from how sheer Bikini Bottom is, the formula was pretty easy to work with.

This is Bikini Bottom with 2 coats of Glitter in the air.
