Scofflaw Varnish Nina Sings the Blues

Hi everyone!  Today I have a special limited edition from Scofflaw Varnish called Nina Sings the Blues.  This will be available for a 24 hour pre-order on Friday February 26th 8pm Central on ScofflawVarnish.com

Nina Sings the Blues.  With a name like that I can't help but to think of the incomparable Nina Simone, a woman who's voice and music inspired with mixings of jazz, soul, blues and classical and she wasn't afraid to get political.  Many consider her songs to be a soundtrack to the civil rights movement.  I did just watch the documentary about her on Netflix called What Happened to Miss Simone? so maybe that's why she's on my mind.

Nina Sings the Blues is mix of several glitters in different shapes and sizes that come in gray, blue, tan, beige and black.  All of this is in a crelly cornflower blue base with turquoise shimmer.  It's complex and glitter heavy and I love it.  Because of all the glitter, some of the pieces can clump up, but the base is thin enough that you can still move things around.  Also be prepared to use an extra coat of top coat if you like things smooth!  Other than that, it's a easy formula to work with!

This is 2 coats.

Scofflaw Varnish Limited Edition Holiday Duo

Hello again!  I have the Scofflaw Varnish limited edition holiday duo to show you!

Scofflaw Varnish Ice Age Coming.  This is a pale blue creme base with lots of silver flecks and shimmer.  It does apply a little sheer like a crelly, but it builds up perfectly.

This is 3 coats.

Scofflaw Varnish Antarctic Fire Department.  This is a glitter topper with a clear base filled with pale blue and white glitter of different sizes and shapes plus a sprinkling of red triangle and hex glitters.  There are also these interesting see through glitters one is a medium toned blue the other is a pale gray color.  I even tried to get a macro so you can see it better!

This is one coat over Ice Age Coming.

Scofflaw Varnish Gee That's a Large Beetle I Wonder if it's Poisonous Halloween 2015 LE

Hi everyone! I'm back after a small hiatus.  I got the flu plus it's been miserably hot and humid in LA. It felt almost impossible to get any swatching done in this weather!

Well, today I'm showing you a limited edition Halloween polish from Scofflaw Varnish called Gee That's a Large Beetle I Wonder if it's Poisonous.  I'm kind of hoping someone asks me what polish I'm wearing just to see the look on their face.  This LE will be available for a 24 hour pre order that starts this Friday October 16th 8pm Central so mark your calendars!

This polish has a little bit of everything in it.  It has a blackened blue base with lots of shimmer, flakes, and a scattering of holo and all of these little nuances are almost impossible to capture through photo, but this is insanely pretty and sparkly in person.  Formula on this was lovely.

This is 2 coats.
