Barielle Jetsetter Collection for Fall/Winter 2014

Press Sample

About a month ago, I showed you swatches of Barielle's Me Couture Collection that they released for the Fall/Winter season.  Today I have another called the Jetsetter Collection that they have also released for Fall/Winter.  Jetsetter has 4 cremes and 2 shimmers.  Lets get to the review!

First up is Gondola Ride, a gorgeous sage green.  It reminds me of a lighter version of OPI's Uh Oh Roll Down the Window.  Application was nice, but it didn't self level  as well as I'd like.  It's fine once it's top coated.  This is 2 coats.

Rain in Spain is a pale bluish lavender color.  I love this one as well.  Applied nicely.  This is 2 coats.

Kiss Me Kate is a pinkish tan nude.  It pulled very pink on me.  I think this may now be my go to nude!  This applied very well.  This is 2 coats.

Irish Eyes is another green in this collection.  This one is a bit of a dusty moss green.  No application complaints.  This is 2 coats.

Midnight in Paris is the first shimmer of the collection.  This is a deep, dark blue with blue/blurple shimmer.  This pulls a bit more purple in real life.  Nice application.  This is 2 coats.

And last but not least, is Autumn in Seoul.  This one is a bronze, gold, copper shimmer.  No complaints about application.  This is 2 coats.

Over all this is a nice little collection.  True to Barielle form, application on these were very nice.  Although I used 2 coats for these pictures, almost all, except Autumn in Seoul, could be nice and opaque in 1 thick coat.  My favorites are Kiss Me Kate, Rain in Spain and Irish Eyes.

Barielle can be purchased from Barielle.com and retail for $8.00 USD.

The Perfect Barielle Manicure and a Giveaway [Closed]

Sponsored Giveaway Press Sample

I was recently given the opportunity to work with Barielle in creating my version of the perfect manicure using some Barielle products.  They were also kind enough to allow me to give a set of my picks to a reader!

Here we go!

My first step (after removing all old polish), was to exfoliate with Barielle's 60 Second Mani-Pedi.  This is a scrub made of salt and several oils.  I scooped a bit into my hands and rubbed it in making sure to also focus on my cuticles.  Make sure not to rub too hard because the salt can be abrasive.  I then rinsed in warm water and patted my hands dry.  This left my hands super soft!

Next I used Barielle's Natural Nail Camouflage.  This base coat has been in my rotation for a few years now.  It works well as a ridgefiller and I even wear it alone when I feel like going "naked" but don't want my nails to look too yellow.  It doesn't cover my extensive staining completely, but it helps.

And now for the color.  I picked Mint Ice Cream Cone because, who doesn't love a pale green polish?  This is a pastel green cream with a white base.  Pastels and whites are notorious for their bad application, but this applied well.  Fist coat is streaky, but second coat evens everything right out.

I let it dry a bit and topped it off with Barielle Gel Top Coat Max Protection.  This is a gel top coat that needs no light to dry.  For those used to a super fast drying top coat, this is not one of them.  Patience is needed, but it does dry to a nice shiny finish.

This is 2 coats Mint Ice Cream Cone with 1 coat Gel Top Coat.

And finally moisturize those hands!  Barielle Professional Protective Hand Cream is great for an everyday moisturizer.  It has the consistency of regular lotion. The smell isn't too strong at all (I'm not a fan of hand creams with super strong scents so this is perfect.) and it absorbs nicely leaving your has soft and moisturized, but not greasy.  Great to throw in your purse or have on your desk to moisturize through out the day.

All these products can be purchased at barielle.com and you also have the opportunity to win them through the giveaway!

A Few Barielle Swatches

Press Sample

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Today I have a few polishes from Barielle to show you, some of which I've been eyeing for what seems like forever!  Let's get to it!

First, I have Sweet Addiction.  This one is a pretty green-blue cream.  I wouldn't quite call it turquoise or teal, it's a little too green to be either.  The formula was good and it's so pigmented, it was almost a one coater.

This is 2 coats.

Nest I have Falling Star.  Goodness, this polish is gorgeous!  I had to wear this for a few days after swatching and I couldn't stop looking.  This one is a medium blue cream with lots of copper glitter in it.  Even with all the indies out there, this one still remains unique.  I can't think of another polish like it!  This one also went on very nicely.

This is 2 coats.

Last but not least is Elle's Spell.  This one caused a stir when it first came out with it's jelly red base and iridescent flakie glitter.  This works well alone, or layered over a red or black polish.  Here it's shown alone.  This was a bit thick but nothing crazy.

This is 3 coats.

I love all of these, but if you don't have Falling Star in your collection, you need it like yesterday!

Barielle can be purchased at http://www.barielle.com/.  Polishes retail for $8.00 USD per polish.  Sign up for their emails to be notified about sales and other news!
