Elevation Polish Yeti is a Scaredy Cat and Yeti's Huangshan for the 4th Annual Charity Event!

Press Sample

Hi everyone! Today I have a couple of very special Elevation Polishes to show you!  For the past three years, Lulu from Elevation Polish has been orchestrating an amazing charity event.  During the event she both auctions and sells polish and a few other things with all proceeds going to charity.  This year is no different!  She has created some amazing polish as well as enlisted some fellow indie polish creators to create something special as well.

The following 2 polishes are to be apart of the selling part of the event and will be available October 12th at 9am and 9pm central along with others.  The auction portion will last from October 12th - October 17th.  Check out Lulu's blog here and here for more info on the where, sneak peaks and more!

Elevation Polish Yeti is a Scaredy Cat.  This polish definitely invokes the Halloween spirit with it's black glitter in various shapes and sizes (including hearts and mini stars), as well as a sprinkling of purple and orange glitter all in a clear base.  I decided to layer this over a green, LOOK Nail Colors Pistachio.

Elevation Polish Yeti's Huangshan. Another awesome glitter topper, this time with varying sizes and shapes of neon yellow glitter and hints of flakes that shift from orange to green all in a clear base. I layered this over a black creme.

All proceeds from the sale of these polishes and auction polishes will go to Chrestomathy, Inc. Again, for more details, please be sure to check out Lulu's blog and also, don't forget to connect with Elevation Polish at the following spots!

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by your BFF

It's Tuesday and today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is BFF.  I've got to say mine is awesome.  She doesn't even blink an eye when I want to look at the polish section and goes downtown with me polish shopping and even follows my Instagram even though all I post are nail pics lol.  So I asked her last night and she said to wear a purple polish, so I'm wearing Elevation Polish Haleakala.  It's a medium purple holo with more red than blue tones.

This is 2 coats.

Elevation Pahlish The Venetian Duo

Press Sample

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  Today I have The Venetian Duo, a collaboration between Elevation Polish and Pahlish to go along with the Adventures of Marco Polo collection.  (You can check out swatches of the collection here and here.)  This duo is available for purchase from both ElevationPolish.com and Pahlish.com.

Elevation Pahlish The Merchant's Son.  This is Elevation Polish's side of the duo.  It's a thermal, so it's turquoise color when warm and more of a teal color when cold.  It also has this gorgeous teal shimmer that looks especially amazing when the polish is cold. No application problems.

This is 2 coats.

(Warm)

And here's my attempt at showing it cold.  My hands are always very warm, so thermals tend to be warm at all times and when I get them cold they immediately change back, but you can see how it looks cold on my tips.

Elevation Pahlish The Wayfarer.  This is Pahlish's contribution to the duo.  It's a topper with mirror like platinum shards, ultra chrome flakes and iridescent glitter all in a clear base.

This is 1 coat over The Merchant's Son.

Elevation Polish and Girly Bits Collaborative Duo: Bamboozled

Press Sample

I've got lots to show you this holiday weekend!  This morning I'm showing you a special duo by the makers of Elevation Polish and Girly Bits called Bamboozled.  This duo is inspired by none other than bamboo and each polish represents it in it's dry or fresh state.

Elevation Polish Arashiyama.  It's a sandy brown nude with charcoal flakes and holographic pigment and represents bamboo in it's dry state.  It's gorgeous in the bottle and I wish it played better with my skin tone.  It looks gorgeous on other bloggers I've seen!  Application on this was perfect; no complaints at all.  (Don't forget to click the name to see google images of the bamboo forest this polish was named for!)

This is 2 coats.

Girly Bits BamBoom!  BamBoom! is a light bright green holo with holo green micro glitters to give it even more sparkle.  It represents bamboo in it's fresh state.  This polish applied perfectly!  Because of the micro glitter, this dries a little bumpy so consider giving it an extra layer of top coat.

This is two coats.

The Bamboozled Duo is limited edition and will only be offered through ElevationPolish.com.  The duo will retail for $22 USD plus shipping and will be available July 7th 9pm CST with a restock happening July 22nd 9am CST.

Elevation Polish Street Graffiti Collection + When the Cherry Met the Spoon

Press Sample

Hi everyone!  It's that time for the newest Elevation Polish collection, Street Graffiti, plus the much requested When the Cherry Met the Spoon.  Inspired by some of the great urban centers around the world, there's a little something for everyone.

Let's take a look!

First up is LA (my city of origin!).  It's a white crelly with very subtle pearl shimmer.  I love white polish.  I wear it all summer long and it looks great against darker/tanned skin.  LA is perfect for those who shy away from stark white-out whites but would prefer something more subdued.  The formula on this was pretty good.  It started of a little patchy, but builds.

This is 3 thin coats but I probably could have used a fourth.

elevation polish la

elevation polish la

NYC is a rubbery black matte cream with a hint of shimmer.  This one doesn't dry really fast like a lot of mattes do, but the formula is good and it looks great both with and without topcoat.

This is 2 coats shown with and without topcoat.

East London is a topper with a clear base and loads of holo and ultra chrome flakes.  I layered it over LA and NYC and honestly, it'd probably look really cool on its own.

This is 1 coat over LA and NYC.

Melbourne is one of my favorites from this collection.  It's creamy dusty blue perfection with gold green shimmer and some subtle holo.  I live for dusty blues like this!  Not only that, but the formula is perfect.  It's ALMOST a one coater.  You could probably get away with it with a thicker coat.

This is 2 coats.

Paris is another favorite.  This one is a plum holo.  I can't tell you how much I love vampy holos and this one fits the bill.  No applications on this one at all.

This is 2 coats.

When the Cherry Met the Spoon isn't apart of the Street Graffiti Collection.  This one started as an SBP (small batch prototype) and with a few changes is now a part of the core collection.  Be sure to check out Ida Nails It for a comparison of the SBP and it's current incarnation!  When the Cherry Met the Spoon is a berry jelly filled with ultra chrome and charcoal flakes as well as a bit of holo.  No application problems with this one.

This is 2 coats.

Overall this collection is perfect.  It's not your typical spring/summer color fare, but the holo makes it perfect for this time of the year and allows these to shine.  My favorites from this collection are definitely Melbourne and Paris.

The Street Graffiti Collection will be available June 7th at 9pm central.  Be sure to check out Elevation Polish at these places for more updates and information!

Elevation Polish Yeti's Healing Vibes

Hi everyone!  I hope you've had a great week!  I for one have been looking forward to the long weekend.

Today I have a charity polish from Elevation Polish called Yeti's Healing Vibes.  Lulu created this special Yeti to raise money to help aid Nepal.  It's being sold for $12 and during the month of May, Elevation will donate $10 for each Yeti's Healing Vibes sold and from June on, they will donate $5.  The proceeds will be donated to the American Himalayan Foundation.  You can read more about it in Lulu's blog posts here and here.

Yeti's Healing Vibes is a dusty light green crelly filled with ultra chrome flakies as well as some shimmer.  The formula is a little on the thick side, but goes on nicely.

This is 2 coats.

Twinsie Tuesday - Seasonal Opposites

Press Sample

Today's Twinsie Tuesday post is all about seasonal opposites.  This prompt is pretty broad, but since it's spring and its opposite is fall, I'm going to go with a tape mani using two colors that represent opposite seasons.  I used China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer, a pastel blue with orange gold shimmer, to represent spring and Elevation Polish Thunder Basin, a dark brown creme, to represent fall.

Twinsie Tuesday - St. Patrick's Day

Hi everyone! Today I had every intention of doing some nail art, but I cut my finger while chopping onions last night.  Yay me!  So today you get a simple look but still in the St. Patrick's Day spirit.  I even managed to blur out the cut for you guys :)

I used 2 coats of Elevation Polish Hinglajgarh Forest (discontinued), which is a creamy, holo, medium/light green and as an accent I used 3 coats of Orly Bling, a gold, holo micro glitter in a clear base.

Elevation Polish Spam Pt. 2

Press Sample

Hey everyone!  Hope you had a good weekend!  Today I have a few more polishes to show you from Elevation Polish

Pic de Sotllo is beautiful crelly blue that's both bright and dark all at once.  Though it is a little thick, it applies easily and smoothly.  Also don't forget the top coat since this dries with a satin finish.  This is 2 coats.

elevation polish pic de sotllo

Pata Puffer II is glitter in a clear base.  The glitters are of varying shapes and sizes and are all pink, purple and magenta.  It's glitter heavy and needs a thick top coat to make things nice and smooth.  I layered 1 coat over Elevation Polish Limestone.

Next is Sunset among the Palms.  This one is a magenta color with a bit of holo and some dark colored flakies.  I've been wearing this all weekend.  It's gorgeous!  Application was lovely, no complaints.  This is 2 coats.

And last but not least is Uluru, a reddish orange coral jelly with gold and pink micro fleck shimmer.  It's a jelly so it's a little on the sheerer side, but it's so squishy and bright.  Definitely a go to summer color!  This is 3 coats. (2 is perfectly fine, but my camera seems to have x-ray vision lol)
