Barielle Gentle Breeze Collection Spring 2015 Swatches and Review

Press Sample

It's finally the weekend!  This has been a really long week for me and I'm just glad it's over.  Hope your week was better than mine!

Today I have the Barielle Gentle Breeze Collection for Spring 2015 and I know some of you are dying for spring to hurry up and get here.  It consists of 5 polishes: 3 creams, 2 shimmers.

Heaven Sent is a pale aqua blue.  At a glance it looks like a light sky blue, but there is definitely some green in there.  Application was surprisingly good for a color like this.  The formula is on the thin side, but quickly builds up after the 1st coat.  This is 2 coats.

Pink Parasol is a light pink creme.  Application on this was okay.  First layer is streaky, but it evens out.  This is 3 coats.

Gray Sky is a medium gray creme with frosty silver shimmer.  The frosty shimmer causes brush strokes to show a bit.  Other than that, the formula was nice.  This is 2 coats.

Champagne Bubbles is a light orange creme with a bit of brown in it.  Barielle calls it tangerine.  Either way this color was not the most flattering on me.  I think this may work better for someone with a lighter skin tone.  This one is pretty sheer and needed quite a few coats to get rid of visible nail line.  This is 4 coats.

Under the Sea is a teal blue with turquoise shimmer.  Loved this one!  Application was good. I had no issues though it will show some brush strokes.  This is 2 coats.

Over all, I can't say I was terribly excited about this collection and I yearn for the days Barielle was putting out things like Elle's Spell and Falling Star.  My picks from the collection would be Heaven Sent and Under the Sea.

You can find these at Barielle.com for $8 USD per polish or the entire collection for $25 USD.  For more updates on collections and sales check them out here:

  4. Champagne Bubbles is my favorite from these. I wanted to love Grey Sky but when I put it on it was way to frosty for me.

    1. Really? I'm glad it works for you. I felt the same way about Gray Sky. I'm not a huge frost fan.

    1. Thanks Sheila! Nails are like hair. Gotta keep them moisturized at all times and maintain a good moisture/protein balance!

  7. I love Heaven Sent! But I agree with you, it's not terribly exciting. I haven't really seen a spring collection from a mainstream brand that has excited me.

    1. Yes, I think it's because a lot of the colors have been done before. That aside they are pretty, especially Under the Sea.

    1. Thank you Amy! I wish they were sold in stores too. You used to be able to find them in CVS and Ulta, but I don't see them anymore. They do have frequent sales though so maybe you can get it then!
