Mango Bunny Polish Sunkissed Neons

Press Sample

Hi everyone! Neon season is upon us and there have been quite a few neon collections.  Today I have the Mango Bunny Polish Sunkissed Neons Collection to show you.  It consists of 6 polishes, 5 of which are brights/neons with a gorgeous gold shimmer and a bit of holo.  Let's take a look!

First up is Pinking About Summer.  This one is a bright pink with gold micro flake shimmer and some subtle shimmer.  The formula was a little thick, but applied perfectly.

This is 2 coats.

Come to Papaya is a neon orange with gold micro flake shimmer and a little holo.  Orange isn't my favorite polish color, but this one is absolutely gorgeous, especially with that gold shimmer!  Formula was nice.  No application issues.

This is 3 coats.

#lushlyfe is a neon green with more of that gold micro flake shimmer that I love.  It starts sheer but builds up well. No application issues at all.

This is 3 coats.

Hand L'ocean is a bright medium toned blue with gold micro flake shimmer and holo.  This was slightly more holo than the other brights.  Nice application.

This is 3 coats.

Iris You Were Here is a bright pink leaning purple with tons of that gold micro flake shimmer.  It really makes this polish stunning.  This was a little more opaque like Pinking About Summer.

This is 2 coats.

Last but absolutely not least is Christmas in July.  This one is the odd man out, but is no less beautiful.  In fact, I think it's my favorite of the collection.  It's a navvy blue holo and although it's darker, it's bright at the same time.  Absolutely gorgeous.  It practically glows!  Application on this was also perfection.

This is 1 coat!

Over all I really liked this collection.  That gold shimmer made each of these unique and I can honestly say I loved each one.  My absolute favorite was Christmas in July.

The Sunkissed Collection will be available May 1st and will retail for $7 each or $36 for the whole collection.  Check out these spots to shop and for more info on upcoming collections and releases:

Cirque Colors Nordstrom's Nike Women Pop-In

Press Sample

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a good Monday!  Let's start off the week with some Cirque Colors. For the second time, Cirque Colors has been asked to participate Nordstrom's monthly Pop-In.  There are 6 featured polishes.  Three are cremes and the other 3 are gorgeous "multi-dimensional shimmers."  You may recognize some of them as past favorites and this is your chance to grab them!

Coronation is a beautiful purple jelly filled with shimmer that appears gold, but shifts colors a bit depending on the angle.  It also has bits of holo micro glitter that flashes in the light.  Pictures simply do it no justice.  You can wear it on it's own, or choose to layer it.  It would look great over blue or purple!  The formula is perfect and there are no application issues.

This is 3 coats.

Dear Dahlia is a pretty pink jelly with more of the multi-dimensional shimmer.  The shimmer in this looks green but also shifts to gold at certain angles.  Nice formula.  It is a bit sheer, but it builds.

This is 3 coats.

Thicker than Water is a stunning turquoise jelly with lots of gorgeous shimmer and it's perfect.  No application issues at all.

This is 3 coats.

Vigo is described as an "orchid pink creme."  It's the perfect Radiant Orchid color that was last year's color of the year.  I had no application issues with this one.

This is 2 coats.

Sunset Park is a beautiful bright coral creme.  This will definitely be going on my toes this summer!  I love corals like this!  Again, nice application.

This is 2 coats.

Doyers is a warm bright red creme and leans toward the orange side of the spectrum instead of blue. The formula on this was a tad bit thick, but definitely workable.

This is 2 coats.

Polish 'M Neutral Party

Hi everyone!  April has been a crazy month so I've taken a bit of a blogging vacation, but I'm back.

Today I have Polish 'M (formally known as Laquerlicious) Neutral Party from the spring collection. It has a nude base and is filled with gold shimmer, neon pink, yellow, and green, as well as baby blue glitter and white and nude square glitters.  I love the neon and nude together.

Application on this was very easy and it's smooth after just one coat of topcoat.

This is 3 coats, but you could probably get away with 2.

Polish 'M Neutral Party retails for $8 per polish.  Be sure to check them out at the links below!

Twinsie Tuesday - Watercolor Nails

I'm a little late with my Twinsie Tuesday post, but I had a presentation today and things have been so crazy it slipped my mind.

Anyways, watercolor! I've been meaning to try this out for a while and this was the perfect opportunity.  There are a couple different ways to go about this, and I decided to do use sharpies since that's what I have (I guess I should invest in some acrylic paints).

water color sharpie nails tutorial

Materials:

  • White Polish (I used China Glaze Snow)
  • Matte top coat (I used Essie Matte About You)
  • Sharpie markers (Use whatever color you want, just make sure they're "juicy")
  • Plastic ziploc bag
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Small paint brush (I used the ELF concealer brush that I use for cleanup)
  • Top coat (optional)
Steps:
  1. First paint your nails white and after it's dry apply your matte top coat.  The matte topcoat helps the the water color stick to your nail.
  2. On the plastic bag color a section with one of the sharpies.
  3. Dip your brush into the alcohol and "mix" it with the sharpie that you colored in on the plastic bag.
  4. Using the same brush dab it on your nails however you want.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 using different colors and until you get your desired look.
  6. You can leave as is if you like the matte look or you can add a top coat for some shine.
Check out the other Twinsies' water color nails!

Ever After Polish Spring Back to the Future Collection Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hi everyone! I meant to get this up on Wednesday and my sd card corrupted in the middle of uploading, so I had to run to the store to buy a new one and reswatch some things. It's better the sd card than my camera or computer though!

Today I'm showing you the Ever After Polish Spring Back to the Future Collection which consists of 7 Back to the Future themed polishes.  I loved Back to the Future and the ride at Universal Studios was my favorite.  I'm still kind of mad they closed it and the E.T. ride down.  Anyways, on to the swatches!

Twinsie Tuesday - Seasonal Opposites

Press Sample

Today's Twinsie Tuesday post is all about seasonal opposites.  This prompt is pretty broad, but since it's spring and its opposite is fall, I'm going to go with a tape mani using two colors that represent opposite seasons.  I used China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer, a pastel blue with orange gold shimmer, to represent spring and Elevation Polish Thunder Basin, a dark brown creme, to represent fall.

Pahlish Buccaneers and Buried Gold Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hi everyone!  Hope you're having a great weekend.  Today I have Pahlish's Buccaneers and Buried Gold Collection to show you.  By the names, it's clear that it was inspired by Treasure Island.  It's been so long since I've read the classic, that I'm putting it on my list to read again.  And to top it all off, there's a cute skull and crossbones for the logo!

Polish My Life Retro Green Scene

Hi everyone! Today I have Polish My Life Retro Green Scene to show you.  This is my first polish from this brand.  I've been meaning to try it for a while and when I saw this color, I just had to have it.  I love green polish and it's even better when it's one of those pretty/ugly shades!

Retro Green Machine is a sage green creme with some hidden pearl shimmer.  It's perfect!  Application on this is amazing. It kind of just glides on and if you like a thinner formula, it's perfect for you.  Can't wait to try more from them! This is 2 coats.
