Great Lakes Lacquer The Sunset Dissected Collection Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hey everyone!  Hope you're having a great weekend so far!  Today I have Great Lakes Lacquer's new collection The Sunset Dissected.  Consisting of 6 polishes, each polish represents some aspect of a beautiful sunset.  I really do love this whole concept!

The Sunset Dissected Collection will be available from GreatLakesLacquer.com on Monday, March 7th at 3pm EST, so let's check it out!

Great Lakes Lacquer The Last Remaining Light.  This is a beautiful indigo creme with sparse holo as well as delicate shimmer/flecks that shifts from pink to gold.  The formula is very easy to work with.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer The Last Sliver of Sun.  Yellow gets dismissed so much in the polish world, but along side green, this is one of my favorite colors to wear.  The Last Sliver of Sun is a pale yellow crelly packed with ultrachrome flake that shifts bronze/gold/green as well as ultrachrome flakes in a pinkish red.  The flakes in this give the over all yellow color some what of a dusty look.  Despite it being a yellow, it's very easy to apply.  It does start off sheer, but builds up perfectly.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Lavender Light.  This is a slightly muted, medium toned lavender crelly with pink micro flakes.  The formula is easy to work with.  This one does start off sheer, but builds up well.

This is 3 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Sailor's Delight.  This is a bright and very orange red jelly filled with a very fine on tone shimmer.  Since it's a jelly it is a little sheer, and shows a tad visible nail line, but that's the nature of the jelly!

This is 3 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Washed in Magenta.  This is a deep vampy magenta jelly with fleck/shimmer that shifts blue and purple.  Another easy to work with formula!

This is 3 coats.

I really enjoyed all the polishes in this collection as well as the concept behind them.  How can you not love a beautiful sunset?  If I had to pick a favorite, I'd definitely have to go with The Last Sliver of Sun!

The Sunset Dissected Collection will be available Monday, March 7th at 3pm EST along with March Limited Editions that I'll be posting about tomorrow!  Be sure to check out Great Lakes Lacquer at the following spots!!
