Orly Shine

This is a pretty foil silver.  I needed two coats for opacity, it applied pretty decently and it dried lightening fast.

Color Club Magic Attraction

Magic Attraction.  The glitter polish that ignigted my loved for all  glitter polish (all except for Lippmann Funky Chunky).  It's a gorgeous holo glitter in a clear base.  The holo glitters look like twinkling lights.

Magic Attraction was pretty thick and needed two coats of seche vite to smooth out the surface.

China Glaze L8r G8r

One of my favorite China Glaze collections was the OMG collection.  All holos in different colors?  Sign me up.  The only problem I have with these is that they're relatively dull looking in the shade.

Essie Baby's Breath

I wasn't going to share this manicure, but my friend Dana has informed me that I'm not updating enough. :insert eye roll here:  So today I have on Essie's Baby's Breath.  Now I know this is meant to be sheer, but I hate visible nail line and I couldn't help but try my best to make it opaque.  I managed . . . after 5 coats.

China Glaze Solar Power

I love wearing yellows.  They tend to work well with my skin tone.  So why is it that every yellow I have is such a pain in the butt to apply?  I don't own a single yellow that's easy to apply.  China Glaze Solar Power is no exception.  Color-wise I think it's one of the more unique yellows I have.  It's a pretty golden yellow with yellow/gold shimmer in it that's subtle, but gives the color depth.

Maybelline Summer Splash

This is one gorgeous blue.  It's uber saturated and has the potential of being opaque in one coat if you're careful.  Application was nice.  The only thing I have to complain about is the wear.  I got a small chip and some tip wear within 3-4 hours.

OPI Fiercely Fiona

OPI Fiercely Fiona.  I still can't decide if this is yellow or green.  Every time I look, it's a different color.  Well, despite the fact that I'm not quite sure what color it is, I love it.  The color is gorgeous and it applied decently for a yellow-y polish.  Plus it's apart of a collection dedicated to Shrek.

Nina Pro Purple-Xing

I love my cream polishes, but I am also a self proclaimed glittah ho.  It can be such a pain to get glitter polish off, but that never phases me because glitter polishes are just that awesome.  Purple-Xing is no exception.  It is purple/holo glittery goodness.  Observe:

BB Couture Poison Ivy

This is one of my favorite polishes!  I'm a sucker for primary green creams.  Actually, I'm a sucker for greens period.  BB Couture definitely did this one right.  It was opaque in one coat and smooth in two.  I definitely need a back up of this sometime soon.

(Excuse the lent.  I didn't realize it was there until looking back at the pictures)

Essie Knockout Pout

This color is from Essie's Summer Collection 2010.  It's a gorgeous pink that is almost neon but doesn't quite make it.  It's definitely bright though!

Application wasn't my favorite.  It was a little hard to work with.  It has one of those "thick but runny at the same time" formulas.  It dries with a satiny finish, so if you like your polish shiny it's best to add a top coat.

Milani Molten Rock

I saw some swatches posted of these new Milanis online and I had to check and see if my CVS had them.  They did!

This polish is a gorgeous metallic blue with micro shimmer.

OPI Flit a Bit

Orange is not a color I have very many of in my stash.  What orange I do have are mostly neons, but after seeing OPI's Summer Flutter Collection in Ulta, I decided I needed to try it.  I was not disappointed.  For most, this is probably just a run of the mill orange cream, but I think it's the perfect orange.

I used three coats to get it opaque and even.

OPI No Spain No Gain

Now, I normally don't go for the run of the mill pinks, reds, nudes, and wine colors that OPI inevitably has in every collection that comes out, but I decided that I needed a few just to round out my collection.  So last fall I bought OPI No Spain No Gain, a pretty red based purple.

Application was perfection.  It went on smooth and opaque in one coat.  I used three, just because I'm an habitual 3 coater.

Nfu-Oh! 61

Nfu-Oh!, oh how I love thee.

This is hands down the most holo polish I own and in the sun, it's just blinding.  My pictures do it no justice.  I'll let the picture do the talking.

These holos are gorgeous and dry really fast.  Almost too fast.  If you aren't careful, you'll end up with bald spots.  They also don't last as long as other polishes but it's all worth it for the end result!

OPI Damone Roberts 1968

When this was first released, I missed.  I kept kicking myself for not getting one.  I'm a sucker for limited edition things and green polish.  I finally got my hands on it and am just now getting around to wearing it.

This color is among the many mint greens in my collection and is probably closest to OPI Hey! Get in Lime, but nothing that is a complete dupe.  I had to use 4 coats with this one to even it out.  The application was not one of OPI's best.

Sally Hansen Pacific Blue

In the past I've been a bit of a Sally Hansen snob.  Their colors didn't interest me and I thought (and still think) they're kind of expensive for a drug store brand.  But lately, Sally Hansen has been coming out with some great colors like Pacific Blue from the Xtreme Wear line.  This has got to be one of my favorite blue polishes right next to Essie Mesmerize!  Application was perfection.  I used two coats, but it really only needed one.

This color was nearly impossible to photograph and this is the closest I got.  The color is a cornflower blue and is a little darker and dustier than my pictures show.

OPI DS Glow

I was sitting here trying to decide what color I'd start my blog off with and after much thought and consideration, I figured I'd make it easy on myself and post the polish I'm currently wearing.

Glow is one of the more recent Designer Series releases from OPI.  It's a gorgeous gold/copper/bronze with a blinding foil/shimmery finish.

Sharing the Polish Love

I have a confession to make.  I think I've had this blog for more than 7 months and I haven't posted anything.  Not the best start, but now that things have settled down and summer has arrived, my free time has quadrupled and I can now dedicate even more time to the love of my life: nail polish.

My addiction started way before I was even allowed to wear nail polish.  I'd go through my moms polish, wishing I could paint my nails.  On my birthday, she'd let me paint them clear and you couldn't tell me nothin'.

I gradually moved on to a wet n' wild polish that was clear with sparkles in it and one year for my birthday, my mom gave me a kit from Klutz that had a book of nail designs along with 4 or 5 water based polishes.

I always had to have her permission to have my nails painted, but at age 10 I just couldn't take it anymore.  I painted my nails with the most in your face color polish I had: Revlon Streetwear Evil.

Since then my collection has grown. I've gone through lulls in my amassing of polish but I always come back.
