Nail Fabulosity Strawberry Shortcake

Hey everyone, just a quick post.  Today I have a polish by Nail Fabulosity called Strawberry Shortcake.  I bought this one during a sale.  Its a jelly white with golden yellow, pink, red, and white glitters.  Its squishy and shows a bit of visible nail line.  My bottle had a funky brush, so I had to swap it out.  Aside from that I really like it.  Its a nice palate cleanser.

This is 3 coats.

You can purchase this and more from Nail Fabulosity's Etsy store.

China Glaze Channelesque

Today since its Thursday, I decided to do a throw back mani with China Glaze Channelesque.  Channelesque is from the Creme Couture collection  from 2004 and has since been discontinued.  It's one of those purple/grey mushroom colors that became really popular a couple of years ago.  I still love it!

This is 2 coats.

Colors by Llarowe In the Navy

I wore this one a while ago.  I think I posted it on Instagram but never got around to making a blog post about it.

I love holos, so of course I love this.  In the Navy is a dark blue linear holo.  You really can't go wrong with it.  Application was decent but it was a little thicker than most holos I have.  It's very pigmented.

This is 2 coats.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer My Indecisive Valentine Collection

*press samples*

Hey everyone!  Today I have a few selections from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's My Indecisive Valentine collection for Valentine's Day.

First up is Fire in Your Eyes.  Its a red jelly with jam packed with lots of glass flake that shifts blue and hot pink.  In fact, the glass fleck makes this polish look more pink than red.  The formula on this was on the thick side, but it was manageable and applied fairly well.

This is 2 coats.

Next is Newly Impassioned Soul.  This one is a pink jelly with pale green micro flakies.  This one looks a bit more neon in the bottle than on the nail.  Also, because its a jelly, its pretty sheer and does show visible nail line.  This one was also a little on the thick side.

This is 3 coats.

Also for those not fond of visible nail line, here it is layered over China Glaze Shocking Pink. This is 2 coats Shocking Pink with 1 coat Newly Impassioned Soul.

These as well as the rest of the My Indecisive Valentine collection will be available for purchase February 2, 2014 via the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer shop.  For swatches of the rest of the collection, please visit the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Facebook page.

*These polishes were sent by PR for Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer for an honest review.  All thoughts and photos are my own.  Please see my disclosure for more info.

L'Oreal Sexy in Sequins

My CVS is always a little late with the new collections and it always seems like someone has completely raided the polish section.  Every thing is always in the wrong place and this time there was literally 5 Essies in the display.  Get it together guys!

Anyways, I finally found what L'Oreal calls Gold Dust polishes (their version of Liquid Sand) and bought Sexy in Sequins.  Its a dark purple texture with lots of micro gold holo glitter and larger silver glitters.  It's gorgeous with and without top coat.

Like a lot of these textured polishes, it was a bit on the thick side, but was manageable.  If you want to wear it shiny, you'll need 2 coats of thick topcoat.  I used one coat of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite

This is 2 coats of Sexy in Sequins.  No top coat.

With Gelous and Seche Vite.

OPI Push and Shove

Today I have for you the popular Push and Shove.  It's the only one I purchased from the Gwen Stefani collection.  Push and Shove is a silver chrome much like those mirror chromes from Maybelline from way back when.  OPI says on the packaging that it doesn't wear long and they weren't lying.  It also shows every single imperfection on the nail, so if you have ridges, buff them out or be prepared to see them magnified times ten.

Application is a bit tricky.  First it comes with its own special base coat that it needs.  Second, if you apply layers too soon after the other, the polish will clump up and streak so it's best to wait a bit between coats.

This is 2 coats.

Update: I usually don't comment too much on wear since I change my polish so often, but I've gotten a couple of emails asking about it.  OPI meant what they said.  This polish isn't long lasting.  After washing my hair, there was tip wear.  After a day of doing normal things like typing, washing dishes, etc, my right hand had quite a few chips.  My left hand isn't as bad, but still has tip wear and a few chips.

Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed

I bought Toxic Seaweed quite some time ago.  It was limited edition and I believe it's now discontinued.  Toxic Seaweed is a green jelly with gold and green glitters and flakies.  It's completely unique in my collection.

This is 3 coats.

Nubar Hotel Baby Pink

This was one of the first polishes I bought from Nubar and comes from the Parisian Collection for Summer 2009.  Hotel Baby Pink is a stark white/pink along the same lines as OPI's Mod About You.  I love colors like this because they really pop against my darker skin tone, but that starkness comes with a price.  Application.  It wasn't the absolute worse and it actually isn't thick, but it is super streaky and if not applied right, you could end up using 4 coats trying to cover up the streaks.

This is 3 coats.

Orly After Party

After Party is from the Orly's Feel the Vibe Collection for Summer 2012.  It seems to be a navy shimmer, but if you look close it's more.  It has a lot of blue/teal, pink/purple shimmer in a blackened base.  It's very pretty and applies well, but a top coat is definitely needed since it dries a little flat.

China Glaze Manhunt

Who has a million blue creams?  I do!  And will I keep on buying them?  Yes!  I don't know what it is about blue and green creams, but I love them.  I'm not talking about the pastels, I'm talking about true , crayola blues and greens.

Today I have on China Glaze manhunt from Safari Collection for Fall 2012.  Not super unique but I love it.

It was a tiny bit thick, but controllable and opaque in 2 coats.

What colors/finishes can you not stop buying?

Studio M Purple Medallion

Since it's Thursday, I decided to do a throw back mani.  This polish is easily one of my favorites.  It has tons of holo glitter in a reddish purple jelly base and it's stunning.  It's super blingy and pictures do it no justice!

This one has an ok application.  It's a little on the thick side.  It's also another top coat eater, so be prepared to use gelous + seche.

This is 3 coats.

Gradient Manicure

It's been a while since I've done a gradient manicure so today's mani is a gradient!  I used Wet n Wild On a Trip and Hard Candy Frenzy.

Color Club Lava Lamp

I haven't worn a neon in a while so today I decided to wear one!  Color Club makes gorgeous neons and this one is no different.  Lava Lamp is a bright (obviously) orange that leans a little bit red.

This one had a nice application.  It wasn't too thick and it doesn't require several coats or a white base.

This is 3 coats.

Lacquistry Amazeballz

Amazeballz, where have you been all my life?  Gorgeous gold flake glitter.  Well scratch the glitter part.  I'm not really sure what to call it.  It's shiny and metallic looking like glitter but it lays flat and is super smooth.  It doesn't need the really thick coat of top coat that most glitter need.  Application was pretty good too.

This is 3 coats.  These pictures do it NO justice.

Zoya Savita

I think I've said this before, but my untrieds pile is ridiculous.  I bought Zoya Savita when in first came out for Winter 2009.  This is my first time wearing it and it's absolutely gorgeous.  Matte purple with pink shimmer.  I'm sure it's just as lovely with top coat, but I want to wear it matte for now.  I'll probably come back and update this post with pictures of it with top coat.

Application was surprisingly pain free.  It was thinner than I expected and it dries really fast.  It does make flaws in the nails, like ridges, more obvious.

This is 2 coats.
