Elevation Polish Wyoming the Wild Swatches and Review

Press Sample

Hi everyone! Today I'm excited to share the Elevation Polish Wyoming the Wild Collection. This collection is inspired by Lulu's time spent in Wyoming camping with friends.  It consists of 7 polishes with a wide range of finishes and colors. Elevation Polish is also re-releasing an old favorite, Khongoryn Els.

Let's take a look!

First up is Cloud Peak.  It's a bright, but dusty creamy blue with ultra chrome flakies, black flakies, and a sprinkling of holo.  It's unique and absolutely gorgeous.  I think this might be my favorite of the collection.  Application on the was perfect.  This is 2 coats.

Fireflies in a Dark Meadow started off as a SBP and after some slight changes, has made it as apart of the collection.  It has a black base and is filled with more of those ultra chrome flakies, and tons of gold shimmer.  I don't know what it is about it but I love gold shimmer and that alone has made this one of my favorites.  The formula on this is on the thicker side, but it applies perfectly.  This is 2 coats.

Grand Teton Sunset is a blue leaning purple creme and it's color varies a bit depending on skin tone and lighting, so be sure to keep that in mind when looking at swatches and be sure to check out the other Elevation Polish swatchers.  Also note that this one has a different formula.  It has a built in top coat.  Because of this, it does not play well when topcoated.  The additional topcoat will cause it to streak.  I tried this one out for a couple days and it dried pretty fast and shiny and it wore well.  I also found that it dries slightly darker than the bottle color.  This is 2 coats.

Whoa! Jackson Hole is a creamy gray leaning taupe with lots of silver shimmer and some holo.  This one is also a thermal.  When cold, it gets darker, but the change is VERY subtle. It also dries slightly matte.  Application was nice and easy.  This is 2 coats.

This picture is my attempt at showing the color change.  My hands are really warm and my nails are short so it's harder for me to show.  My index and ring fingers were dipped in cold water.

Iceburg Lake is a light mint green creme with subtle pearl shimmer.  The formula on this is a little thick, but it applies nicely.  This is 3 coats.

Thunder Basin is described as a dark chocolate creme.  I have to admit, I usually shy away from brown.  It's the color I have the least of in my collection along with orange.  But I'm digging this one.  It's nice and dark and doesn't blend in my with skintone.  Love it!  First coat on this was sheer, but the second coat was all it needed for opacity.  This is 2 coats.

Last of the collection is Hidden Falls.  This one has real 23k gold flakes in a clear base.  What makes this one different from the others is how much bigger the flakes are.  The flakes are easy to get out because of the thicker base. Because this polish is made with real gold and is also hand rolled and measured by Lulu, this polish has a retail price of $25.  These pictures show one coat over Iceburg Lake and my favorite, Thunder Basin.

Khongoryn Els is not a part of the Wyoming the Wild Collection, but was a part of the Mongolia Collection and is being re-released.  It's a purple taupe with lots of purple shimmer.  My pictures show the shimmer looking a bit more blue, but it's definitely a bright purple.  It really is gorgeous.  It goes on sheer for the first coat but builds nicely.  This is 3 coats.

Along with these, Elevation Polish will also be offering some of Lulu's favorite hand care items from a few different indies.  I'm currently testing out Northern Star's cuticle oil and will have that review up soon. So far so good!

The Wyoming the Wild Collection will be available April 7th 9pm central and will be restocked April 22nd 9am central .  Will you be getting any of these?

**The products in these post were sent by the company for consideration.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  1. Gorgeous swatches! I think the mint one is my fav, normally it would be the purple one but I don't like polishes with built in top coat :(

    1. Gotta try that combo! I kind want to try Hidden Falls on all the creams. I'm so late to the gold flakie love.

    1. That one is lovely. I wouldn't have thought to put holo with a taupe for some reason.

  15. I love Fireflies In A Dark Meadow! Cloud Peak actually looks like a dupe for Renaissance Cosmetics Cursed. It doesn't have ultra chrome flakies but rather pink shimmer, white micro flakes, red micro glitter, and a bit of scattered holo. The final result is very similar though.

    1. Fireflies is even better in person! I't packed with glitters. I don't have any Renaissance (yet) but I'll have to check that one out!
