Indies Outside the Box: Fan-tastic Customs Swatches and Review

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to show you a new collaboration box called Indies Outside the Box.  Created by the makers of Lollipop Posse Lacquer and Top Shelf Lacquer, the box will be released quarterly and consist of 4 polishes, one from Lollipop Posse Lacquer, one from Top Shelf Lacquer, and 2 from guest collaborators.  Each polish will be a custom inspired by photos chosen and voted on by fans in the Indies Outside the Box fan group.  The guest makers for this box are Digital Nails and Ellagee!

The box will debut at Polish Con and will also be available for pre-order September 19th - September 26th from TopShelfLacquer.com

Digital Nails Tidal Twilight.

This has a deep indigo base with flakes that shift blue to purple, holo shimmer, and holo micro glitter.  The formula is easy to work with and dries fast.

This is 2 coats.

Ellagee Halcyon Seas.

This is a micro glitter in a clear base.  It has a combination of blue, periwinkle and copper micro glitter, a scattering of holo micro glitter, and reddish copper flake.  The blue and periwinkle glitter combine to give a kind of grayed out look.  The first coat goes on sheer, so this would be good as a topper, but it builds up to opacity just fine.  The formula is thicker, but I've come to expect that with micro glitter polishes.  It's definitely still workable.  Letting each layer dry makes things easier.

This is 3 coats.

Lollipop Posse Lacquer Meet Me in Outer Space.

This is a creamy bright pink with iridescent blue shimmer and blue flecks.  I absolutely love how the blue flecks stand out against the pink!  The formula is easy to work with and applied flawlessly.  The blue flecks make this dry just a little bit of texture, but top coat fixes that right up.

This is 3 coats, but looks good in 2.

Top Shelf Lacquer Mermaid Water Cocktail.

This is a crelly blue aqua with pink and blue glass fleck.  Because it's more on the jelly side of crelly, it does go on sheer.  I still had a bit of visible nail line after 3 coats, but I didn't mind it, it works with this polish.  This dries to a slight satin finish, so don't forget top coat!
