Hi everyone! Today I have the much anticipated The Streets of Japan collection from Elevation Polish plus a few others. Lulu calls it her "bravest and boldest" collection yet with a variety of finishes and bright colors. I've decided to try something new and made each name clickable to google images so you can see the places Lulu was inspired by.
Let's get to the swatches!
First up is Hitsujiyama Park. It's a pale muave-ish pink with pink shimmer and subtle holo pigment. I have't always been huge on the subdued, but I've come around and I have to say this is absolutely gorgeous! The subtle holo and shimmer really makes it special. No application issues here.
This is 2 coats.
Icho Namiki is a green leaning neon yellow crelly with charcoal flakes and gold shimmer. This one is not only neon, but uv reactive and glows in the dark! This one dries to a satiny finish so don't forget to topcoat it. Application on this was pretty nice considering it's a neon yellow.
This is 3 coats, but you could probably get away with 2.
Hama Rikyu Gardens is a matte gray with a fine silver shimmer and holo pigment. I really love this gray and it looks amazing both matte and shiny. No application issues.
This is 2 coats.
Shinjuku Golden Gai is a bright almost neon coral/blood orange with violet shimmer that shifts pink and blue. This was an unexpected favorite! I love that shimmer!
This is 3 coats, but you could get away with 2.
The last of The Streets of Japan collection is Evening Walk in the Cherry Blossoms. Technically this isn't even an Elevation Polish. It was created by a friend of Lulu's, frankener Glitter Sheep. This one has a clear ever so slightly tinted blue base with blue and purple holo glitter, iridescent glitters, and fucshia holo star and flower glitters. I applied it over BB Couture Zuma Wave Rider (a periwinkle blue). I didn't use any tricks to get the glitters out, but if you want more on your nails, they're pretty easy to fish out.
Along with the Streets of Japan, a couple of other polishes are being released. This one is a limited edition and will only be available during the month of May. Baby Yeti is a gray base with lots going on. Lulu says it has over 70 different types of glitters and pigments so I'm not going to even try and list them all. This one is also a thermal. I am warm at all times, so I have a terrible time trying to show the thermal effect unless I have long nails. This is what it looks like warm and when cold, it transitions into a darker gray base. You may need an extra coat of top coat to smooth everything out!
This is 2 coats.
Stay Behind Catch a Wave 2 is a fan favorite that is being brought back! This is a clear base with blue and teal circle glitters and iridescent glitters that shift from gold to green. Please note that over time the glitters will bleed a bit of their color into the base, but will still keep their color. For this I did one coat over Hitsujiyama Park and Hama Rikyu Gardens.
There will be one other polish released with these called Yett's Healing Vibes. It's a charity polish that benefits the American Himalayan Foundation and those affected by the recent earthquake in Nepal. $10 of every Yetti's Healing Vibes sold will go to the AHF foundation. This polish will be available until the 27th of May. Check out Lulu's blog for more info and swatches.
All of these polishes will be available from ElevationPolish.com on May 7th at 9pm Central time. Be sure to check out Elevation Polish at these places for more information on restocks, collections and more!
