Collection selections. I swear I didn't do that on purpose. Maybe...
Today I have some of KBShimmer's Winter collection to show you. I can't believe it's that time again. It feels like 2014 just started!
On to the swatches!
First up is Let's Sleigh Together. This polish has a pale/light gray crelly base that borders on being white with blue, mint, and green glitter as well as some smaller holo glitter pieces. This applied easily. No complaints. This is 3 coats.
This post is picture heavy, so check out more after the jump!
Deja Brew is the holo of the group. This one is a reddish brown holo that I wasn't too sure about, but I ended up loving it after putting it on. It's a nice work appropriate holo for those with brown skin. This is 2 coats.
Mauve On Over is another with a crelly base, but this time the base is more of a lilac. It teeters between being pink and lavender. This one has reddish-orange, blue, and turquoise glitter. This is 2 coats.
Snow Way is one of the returning shades with a light sky blue crelly base and white glitter. There is also some subtle micro holo glitter. This is 3 coats.
Turnip the Beet is a gorgeous texture polish that looks great with or without topcoat. It's a jam packed with magenta, red, and purple holo glitter. I love it! Because it's so packed with glitter, it did get a little thick as I applied. This is 2 coats.
With topcoat:
Holly Back Girl is one of my favorites. It has a white crelly base with lots of green and red glitters. I'm a sucker for white crellies with festive glitter and will definitely be wearing this throughout the season! This is 3 coats.
All Decked Out is another favorite and returning shade. It's has a dark pine green crelly base and is packed with gold, red, blue hex glitters, and even some gold stars. It's like a Christmas tree on your nails. This is 3 coats.
Fallen Angle. I love that name being the math nerd that I am. Fallen Angle has a blue jelly base with holo triangles and blue and silver holo hex glitters. I think I saw some pink glitter in there as well. Love it. This is 2 easy coats.
Last but not least is a glitter topper called Pine-ing for Yule. This polish is KBShimmer's 2014 Toys for Tots charity polish. For each bottle sold on KBShimmer.com between 11/01-12/15, $4 will be donated to Toys for Tots. Pine-ing for Yule has green holo triangle glitter that is reminiscent of Christmas trees as well as red stars representing tree toppers. There are also silver holo hex and micro glitters. All of this is suspended in a clear base. I was able to paint this on in one coat, but the glitter tends to clump a bit, so I would recommend dabbing this on to make things easier. This is 1 coat over both black and white. I think it would look great over gold too!
The KBShimmer Winter Collection is set for release on November 1, 2014. These polishes and more will be available on KBShimmer.com and have a retail value of $8.75. KBShimmer will also be having a few holiday promotions:

ReplyDeleteIt definitely is. With the trees and stars it screams Christmas!
DeleteThese are so pretty! I want them all!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous!
DeleteLove them all!! Great swatches.
ReplyDeleteThank you ❤
DeleteI love All Decked Out. And I didn't think of putting Pine-ing For Yule over gold. I may have to try that. Beautiful swatches!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. I plan on trying it out. Ill probably update this post with it.
DeleteThese all look stunning. Great photos. I have to say you've changed my mind about Let's Sleigh Together. I do like that it isn't stark white. I also love how you paired Pine-ing for Yule over black. I'm going to try it with a midnight blue and the black. I also want to see how it looks over Holly Back Girl. I like your idea about the gold as well as maybe silver. Or just a holo. So many possibilities. Thanks. You do awesome work.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! There are definitely endless possibilities with Pine-ing for Yule. I'll probably be playing around with different combos all winter. I've seen it over a lighter green and I liked that combo as well. It kind of reminded me of the Grinch.
