Great Lakes Lacquer August Limited Editions
Press Sample
Hi everyone! Today I'm showing two of three gorgeous limited editions from Great Lake Lacquers available during the month of August. These along with The Friends, Part I Collection will be available Saturday, August 1st at 11am EST from GreatLakesLacquer.com.
Great Lakes Lacquer Kissing My Hun on Gun. I love fishing with my husband. It’s sort of our down time together and something that we both love to do. It’s an awesome bonding experience and keeps that connection going. Therapy on the water has been a best practice for us for two years now. This polish is inspired by a picture he took of us kissing while fishing. Everything is rhyming with this one. I profusely apologize about that. Anyway, he posted it on Facebook, like you do with everything when you are new to Facebook and this is the description he used.
This polish is a deep blue leaning holo green with blue "sparks." You all know how I love my greens and this is no exception. It's gorgeous! The formula on this was great. It did however stain my nails just a bit. Make sure to wear a base coat!
This is 2 coats.
Great Lakes Lacquer Torch's Purple Haze. I love Torch Lake. It’s absolutely gorgeous and has been picked as the third most beautiful in land lake in the world by National Geographic. It’s with good reason. The water is clear and clean, showing the most beautiful teals and blues. Then I saw a picture of a sunrise on Torch. It was this purple haze lingering as reds were starting to blaze. I’m sure we’ll revisit Torch in color again, but this is my first tribute to this awesome body of water.
This one is a reddish purple jelly with blue, purple, and red micro flecks. It's more red leaning than my camera was able to capture. Because it's a jelly, it needs a bit of time between coats but over all applies nicely.
This is 3 coats.
Be sure to check out Great Lakes Lacquer at the following spots for more updates and information on new collections and restocks!

Essie First Timer and China Glaze Point Me to the Party
Press Sample
Hi everyone, just a quick post of my NOTD (nails of the day).
I used Essie First Timer which is from the 2013 Resort Collection. It's a gorgeous light, but bright, green creme. The formula on this was perfect. It wasn't thick or streaky and went on perfectly!
This is 2 coats.
**China Glaze Point Me to the Party was sent for an honest review.

Twinsie Tuesday - Shiny and Matte Combo
It's Tuesday, so time for another Twinsie Tuesday post! Today's theme is shiny matte combo. I decided to try a tape mani and recreate probably the most widely spread nail picture on the planet from Chloe's Nails. It's been on my list to try since I first saw it on MUA.
It's not bad for a first try, but I was obviously being impatient with the pinky nail, which wasn't quite dry yet when I put the tape on. Oops!
For this look I used Illamasqua Boosh as a base.
Then used Essie Matte About You to create the matte squares and there you have it!
Be sure to check out the other Twinsies' shiny/matte combos! I'm sure they were much more creative than me.

Nvr Enuff Polish Equinox
Hope everyone's Monday is going okay! Today I have a new to me brand: Nvr Enuff Polish. I was scrolling through facebook or instagram and saw a swatch of one of their polishes and decided to give them a try. It actually took me a minute to figure out the brand because I couldn't quite read the label and there wasn't a description. Anyways, I ordered 3 polishes and when they came, I was so busy I had to put them to the side. Well I finally got the opportunity to wear one.
Equinox is a gorgeous dark green teal holo. The kind that makes you stare at your nails while sitting in traffic on the 405 kind of gorgeous. You know how I love my dark green holos. This one hit the spot. It's super holo and the formula? The formula was amazing. It practically applied itself. It could've been a one coater if I used a slightly thicker coat.
This is 2 glorious coats.
Nvr Enuff Polish is currently preparing for their restock so the website is down, but no worries, the restock will be tomorrow July 21st at 2pm PST. Check them out at these places for updates and more restock info:

Sally Hansen Pearl Crush Swatches and Review
Press Sample
Happy Friday!
Today I have some of Sally Hansen's new Pearl Crush collection already out in stores! These are all sheer with pearl like shimmer and large iridescent hex glitters in a tinted base. I layered all of these over a base. Since the formula on all of these are the same, I'm going to post pictures and leave the review for the end of the post.

Sally Hansen Edgy Creme and OPI Thrills in Beverly Hills - Throwback Thursday
Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've done Throwback Thursday so today I'm bringing it to you double time with not one, but 2 throwbacks!
For this look, I used Sally Hansen Edgy Creme which is one of those pretty ugly colors, but I love these kinds of cameo sage greens. I'm crossing my fingers for some shades like these in the fall. I can never get enough!
I then layered OPI Thrills in Beverly Hills on top. This throw back is a top coat with an antique gold shimmer/micro flakes. This top coat is a black label and is originally from the Shopping Around the World Collection, Holiday 2005.
And a bonus picture with the OPI bottle.
If you haven't already, don't forget to enter the giveaway me and some other bloggers have going on! You could win $200 or $40 in PayPal credit. You can spend it on polish or whatever else you want! There's a link in the side bar or click here to enter!

Twinsie Tuesday - Revisit
Hi everyone! Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is Revisit, so all us twinsies are going back to themes past that we haven't participated in and revisiting the theme. I'm choosing a theme from before my time as a twinsie: First Polish Posted on Your Blog. (Insert Xzibit "Yo Dawg" meme about revisiting here.) I thought I'd do this theme since I recently had my 5th year Blogiversary (June 6th) and just let it pass by without really acknowledging it.
And now I present to you OPI DS Glow. It's a beautiful shimmery polish with bits of bronze, copper and gold. I used 2 coats. I'm not sure if it's discontinued, but it's pretty easily available online.
And if you'd like to check out how far I've come since starting this blog, check out the original post!
Check out what themes the other Twinsies picked out and also don't forget to enter my giveaway (you could win $200 or $40 PayPal cash!).

Twinsie Tuesday - Neon
Hi everyone! Today's Twinsie Tuesday is all about neon so I'm wearing this China Glaze untried Sun of a Peach.
China Glaze Sun of a Peach is a bleached orange neon and it's a beautiful color. That said, the application was horrendous! It streaked, had bald spots and needed way too many coats. Let's just say I wasn't quite saying sun of a peach while applying this. It has the kind of formula that makes you feel like you've never painted your nails in your life (and we all know I've done a lot of that).
Anyways, this is 4 coats. It's so pretty. To bad the formula left so much to be desired.
Don't forget to check out the other Twinsies and their neons!

Pahlish Jungle Book and Tropical Trios Swatches and Review
Press Sample
Hi everyone! Tonight I'm showing you not one but TWO gorgeous trios from Pahlish tonight: the Jungle Book Trio and the Tropical Trio. These really speak for themselves so let's take a look!
Jungle Book Trio
Pahlish The Dawn Patrol is a stunning bright teal holo with lots of gold shimmer. I am OBSESSED. I was trying to swatch and had to stop and wear this baby for a full manicure. This one dries to a matte finish so make sure to put some top coat on .
This is 2 coats.
Pahlish The Word of Bagheera. This one is a gorgeous blackened indigo holo with bits of purple flecks that flash at different angles. My camera wasn't able to pick them up, but they're there. Either way, this is another stunning polish.
This is 2 coats.
Pahlish Man's Red Flower. This is a bright pink leaning coral holo. Like The Dawn Patrol, this also dries to a matte finish, so don't forget the top coat if you like it shiny.
This is 2 coats.
Tropical Trio
Pahlish Watermelon Punch. This is a bright, break your camera, jelly neon pink with a violet, blue, and these pearly white flakes. The white flakes are like someone chipped off a piece of a pearl. It's such a gorgeous look!
This is 2 coats.
Japanese Neon Melon. This has the same finish as Watermelon Punch, but it a deep bright blue. Those pearl flakes look amazing sitting in this blue jelly!
This is 2 coats.
Pahlish Melon Baller. This one has an orange leaning neon coral jelly base with more of those gorgeous flakes. This is another eye searingly bright color and absolutely gorgeous!
This is 2 coats.
And there you have it! Two absolutely stunning trios. You can't go wrong with any of these and it's also awesome that you can purchase them individually. You don't have to buy the whole set. My personal favorites from both trios are The Dawn Patrol, The Word of Bagheena, and Japanese Neon Melon.
These will be available from Pahlish.com July 5th at 7pm CST for pre-order for 24 hours. Check out these places for updates and more from Pahlish!
