Press Sample

Hi everyone!  Today I have a post that should have been made a while ago: Great Lakes Lacquer December Limited Editions.  To get these you'll have to be quick because they're leaving GreatLakesLacquer.com on January 2nd 2pm EST!

Let's get to the swatches!

Great Lakes Lacquer December 2016 limited editions

Great Lakes Lacquer Winter Solstice Sunrise.  This is a creamy dusty periwinkle blue filled with multichrome flakes that shift from blue to purple to fuchsia as well as shimmer with the same color shift.  The even with all the flakes, the formula is easy to work with and goes on smoothly.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Rainbow! Right Here and Now!  This has a slightly taupe gray filled with pastel flakes in different colors giving a look reminiscent of opal.  This is seriously beautiful and if you don't snag anything else, you should definitely get this!  Application is pretty good, but these flakes are a bit more stiff and require a tad more maneuvering than multichrome flakes, but nothing that isn't workable.

This is 3 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Fade to Winter.  Such an appropriate name, this is a thermal that when warm is a pale blue and when cold turns to a dark blue gray.  Through out is a lovely shimmer that is mostly blue but shifts to purple when shown at an angle and also a hint of scattered holo.  No application issues.

This is 3 coats.
