Hi everyone!  Today I have Great Lakes Lacquer's seven piece winter collection: Doctor's Orders. As always Mariah has put lots of thought behind the theme of this collection.  I always enjoy knowing what inspired the artist behind the scenes.  This time, Mariah was inspired by quotes from both Dr. Seuss and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Great Lakes Lacquer Infinite Hope.

“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”

This is a dark jelly blue with scattered holo and shimmer that shifts blue to pink.  The shimmer isn't as visible as a single component, but it blends into the base and gives it almost a slight metallic feel.  It's gorgeous!  The formula on this is a bit on the thick side, but still workable.

This is 3 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Those Who Matter.

 “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

This is a pinkish burgundy linear holo with purple shimmer.  Application is smooth and the formula is easy to work with.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Unless.

 “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.  It’s not.”

-Dr. Seuss

This is a gorgeous deep emerald green filled to the brim with gorgeous gold micro flecks and a hint of holo micro glitter.  This was a little on the thick side, but applies well.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Silence.

This is one of my favorites from the collection!  It's a gray creme with heavy blue undertones and lots of blue and copper shimmer and flecks.  No application problems.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Don't Give Up.

 “Don’t give up!  I believe in you all.  A person’s a person, no matter how small!”

This is a very warm pinkish nude, but what really makes this is the gorgeous copper shimmer that runs through out.  Consistency is nice, but be sure to wait a bit between coats for an even application.

This is 3 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Youer Than You.

 “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”

This has a lovely indigo base with purple shimmer as well as large flakes that shift from aqua to green.  No application problems, but be sure to wait between coats.

This is 2 coats.

Great Lakes Lacquer Only Love Can Do That.

This is a gorgeous ethereal off white/gray with lots of silver shimmer and very subtle linear holo.  Application is easy to work with.

This is 3 coats.
