OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue

Hey everyone!  Just a quick post.  Today I have on Yoga-ta Get This Blue from OPI's India collection Spring 2008.  This is one of my favorite vampy blues.  I love wearing it in the summer because the sun just makes it glow.

This is 2 coats.

Galaxy Nails

Today I went with the kids at work to the Griffith Observatory.  So how appropriate was it to do some galaxy nails.  Plus it's my birthday so I had to do something a little special.

I didn't do the most amazing job, but I'm proud of myself since I'm not an artist.  I used this tutorial as a guide.  For the polishes, I used Illamasqua Boosh as the base, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, OPI Mod About You, Zoya Pinta, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Co-balt Blue, and Del Sol Ruby Slippers.

Have I mentioned that I love wearing white polish?  It really pops against darker skin tones and gives a kind of sun kissed look.

My Boyfriend Scales Walls is from the Spiderman collection.  It's bright, but slightly dingy than most whites, like someone added a drop or 2 of a blue/gray color in the mix.  I love it.

Application wasn't too bad for a white.  It was a little on the thick side.  Only 2 coats are needed for opacity.

So, am I the only one who loves to wear white?  If you haven't tried it out, you should.  If you're feeling hesitant, try it out on your toes first.

Avon Olive Green

Avon's Olive Green is a dusty deep green and a definite dupe for Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbit Non Sufficit (which I bought first).

Application was great and if your careful, you can get away with just one coat.  Of course I was rushing and needed a second coat on a few nails.

I also filed my nails short because I broke the index really low.  I'm kind of liking the nubbins.  Which do you all prefer?
