Nina Pro Ink-ling

I picked this up at Sally Beauty some time in December.  It's one of those fashion forward purple-y gray colors. It's similar to Zoya Kelly, but Kelly has a bit less purple.  Ink-ling went on nicely in 2 coats.

This is 2 coats.

Color Club Nomadic in Nude

Nomadic in Nude is from Color Club's Back to Boho collection for Fall 2011.  I bought mine in a set from Ross.  I've been buying most of their newer collections from Ross lately.

Nomadic in Nude is one of those "greige" colors.  It's a light gray with some brown in it.  I'm still on the fence about how this color looks on me.  I'm still looking for the perfect nude.  Application was decent.  It was almost a 2 coater, but I needed three to fill in some of the bald spots.

This is 3 coats.

The sets from Ross don't have the name stickers on the bottom, so I made my own.  I hate having unlabeled polish.

Essie Jelly Apple

Jelly Apple is now on my list of favorite reds.  It's a pretty slightly blue based medium red jelly.  It has a really nice application and it doesn't take much to get rid of visible nail line.

This is 3 coats.  (It looks nice at 2 coats as well)

Nubar Blue Hydrangea

Blue Hydrangea is from Nubar's Spring 2011 collection.  It's a sky blue with a pearl type shimmer.  The application was great.  I was expecting brush strokes because of the finish, but there were none.  I have no complaints about this one.

This is 2 coats.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Locavore

It's Mardi Gras also known as Fat Tuesday so I decided to wear Locavore by Rescue Beauty Lounge.  This is a multi glitter with gold, turquoise/blue, green, and magenta from what I can see.  I bought this color years ago and I'm just now getting around to wearing it as a full mani and I love it.  I believe it's back on the Rescue Beauty Lounge site as one of the 'Bring it Back' colors.

This is 3 coats.

Sinful Colors Last Chance

I love green polish.  Last Chance is a dark evergreen color.  It's dark, but it's obviously not black.

Last Chance is one of those polishes that fall between being both a jelly and a creme.  It's really shiny and a little squishy, but opaque.  The formula on this was really nice.

This is 2 coats.

OPI DS Original

OPI DS Original is a lovely purple/lavender holo.  The holo is pretty intense, but definitely not as linear as China Glaze OMG polishes or Nfu Oh's.  There's something unique about the older OPI holos that I can't quite put my finger on and I haven't seen it duplicated.  Anyways, on to the pictures!

This is 2 coats.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Girl Flower

Today I have on Salon Effects in Girl Flower.  I really wanted to love it, but it's so pixelated it's annoying.  It doesn't look so bad from a distance.

Essie Orange, It's Obvious!

Orange is normally a color I shy away from, but I saw this on Scrangie and it was so pretty, I had to have it.  Scrangie has that effect on people lol.

Orange, It's Obvious! is a lovely creamy orange from Essie's Navigate Her Spring 2012 collection.  It's not neon, but bright and a little dusty all at the same time. Application was nice.  Definitely no complaints there.

This is 3 coats.

Color Club Worth the Risque

Worth the Risque is from Color Club's Femme Fatal collection from Spring 2009.  It's a silver, holographic polish with a scattered holo effect.  It's not the most holo of the silver holos, but gorgeous in it's own right.  I don't know why my camera had some trouble picking up the holo, but I took about a million pictures.

This is 3 coats (you can probably get away with 2).

Layla Magneffect Black Metal

Magnetic nail polish has finally caught on.  The days of hoping for  Lancome Le Magnetique to find it's way to your doorstep, or stalking ebay to see if there could be any Loreal Magnetic polish for sale are over.  There are now several companies offering magnetic nail polish including China Glaze, Nails Inc, Icing, Layla, LCN, etc.

The Layla magnetic polish comes with a magnet that creates lines on the nail and is located on the top of the polish bottle.  It's pretty easy to use, but may have a slight learning curve for some.  The key is to make sure the nail polish and completely wet and to not hold the magnet too close to the nail or it will pull up droplets, and to not hold the magnet too far away and not get any design at all.

I applied on coat of the polish on all fingers and then went back and applied a second coat, used the magnet and went on to the next finger.  After I was done with all fingers, I then applied a top coat.

This is 2 coats of polish.
